Inspired by their own beloved dog, Orpheus, Ryan and Jen Radley started ADR to help all carnivorous pets achieve optimal health and happiness through nutrition, education, and advocacy.

Frequently asked questions

Do you carry raw food?

Yes. We carry a full selection of raw dog and cat food including our own ADR house blends (Basics, Dinners, Dinners Plus, and Kennel Cuts), plus brands like Big Country Raw, Raw performance, Healthy Paws, and Totally Raw. Proteins include chicken, beef, turkey, lamb, duck, salmon, rabbit, pork, and more. All raw food is sold frozen.

Do you offer nutrition consultations?

Yes. All ADR locations offer nutrition consultations. Whether you're starting from scratch or troubleshooting an existing diet, we can help you build a complete, balanced feeding plan for your dog or cat. Just visit your nearest store or reach out by phone or email.

Can your staff help me switch my dog/cat to raw food?

Absolutely. Every ADR team member is trained in raw feeding and species-appropriate nutrition. We also have staff certified through the Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist (CPCN). Whether you're starting from kibble or already feeding raw, we can walk you through our transition phases, calculate how much to feed, and help you choose the right proteins for your dog. No appointment needed, just come in.

Do you only sell raw food, or do you carry other types of pet food?

We carry a full range of pet food options, not just raw. Our stores stock freeze-dried, dehydrated, and dry kibble alongside our raw blends, so you can feed better no matter your routine or budget. Many of our customers mix raw with kibble, and our staff can help you find the right balance. If you're not ready to go fully raw, that's completely fine, we'll meet you where you are.

Do you carry food for dogs with allergies or food sensitivities?

Yes. Raw feeding is often recommended for dogs with allergies because it eliminates the fillers, additives, and cross-contaminated proteins found in many commercial kibbles. We carry single-protein options (like turkey-only or lamb-only blends) that are ideal for elimination diets. Our team can help you identify the right starting protein. We also carry limited-ingredient kibble and freeze-dried options for dogs who can't tolerate fully raw diets.

Do you carry pet supplements?

Yes. We carry a range of supplements and wellness products including probiotics, fish oil, bone broth, kefir, digestive enzymes, and organ-based supplements. Brands we carry include Adored Beast, North Hound Life, Charmy, Thrive, Earth MD, and others. Our staff can help you identify what your pet actually needs rather than guessing from a shelf.

How much does raw dog food cost at ADR?

Our ADR house blends start at $3.50/lb for Chicken Basic, and range up to $11.56/lb for specialty proteins like Rabbit Dinner. Most everyday blends (Chicken Dinner, Beef Dinner, Turkey Dinner) fall in the $4–$6.50/lb range. A 30lb dog eating 2% of body weight per day would eat roughly 0.6lbs per day, about $2.40–$4/day depending on the blend. Check out our full menu and pricing here.

Do you carry natural treats?

Yes, and we're picky about what we carry. We focus on single-ingredient, minimally processed treats that are both nutritious and something your dog or cat will go crazy for. Brands include ADR house brand, Balto Bites, Charmy, Grand Valley Quail Pet Treats, Hero, Icelandic, Mighty Marrow, Slobbers, Healthy Paws, and Wild Vibes. No artificial preservatives, no mystery ingredients.

Do you offer dog grooming?

Do you have a DIY dog wash station?

Our Orillia location has a self-serve DIY dog wash station. Bring your dog in and use our professional tubs, shampoos, dryers, and towels without the mess at home. Contact ADR Orillia at (705) 279-8461 or orillia@adrpack.ca for details and availability.

Do you offer pet birthday parties?

We can help you celebrate your dog or cat with custom treat bags, a custom birthday cake made from pet-safe ingredients and party add-ons. It's a great excuse to spoil your pet and share the moment with other pet lovers in your community. Reach out to your nearest ADR store to ask about booking and what's included.

Do you have a loyalty program?

Yes, it's called ADR Pack Points. You earn points on every purchase and can redeem them for discounts on future orders. Ask any staff member to sign you up in-store, or ask about it next time you visit.

Do you offer local delivery?

Yes, local delivery is available from four ADR locations: Keswick (including the North Bay area), Caledon, Markham, and Whitby. If you're outside a delivery zone, you can still shop in-store at any of our 8 Ontario locations. Contact your nearest delivery-enabled store directly to ask about minimums, fees, and scheduling.

Do you have a loyalty program?

ADR Whitby offers online ordering at whitby.adrpetstores.ca. For other locations, contact your nearest store directly by phone or email to ask about pre-ordering for pickup or local delivery.
